Understanding that not everyone has the budget for a fully built-out van conversion or the desire for a larger vehicle, the focus is specifically on minivan and small van camper builds.

The blog covers the essentials, from designing and planning your van build, to selecting the best materials and tackling the actual construction process.

When I began working on making my own small van camper I quickly realized that most design information and off the self products available for camper van conversions were geared toward larger vans.  I suspect it is because, this is where the money is.  This was a problem because simply put, I don’t have a large van so I don’t have much space.   This meant I needed to use different designs and build most things myself.   The purpose Small Van Life is to pass along information about design and construction I have learned in the process of building out my small van into a camper.  Small Van Life provides step-by-step instructions, creative ideas, and inspiration to help you create a cozy, functional, and stylish living space in your small van or minivan.
